The
Course Structure
Above all, this course is about diving experience…and
not so much about theory. By the end of the course, you will
know how to handle yourself in a wide range of diving situations
and you will have experienced more diving variety than about
90% of all other divers in the world. Armed with the experience
and skills learned in this course, you can confidently travel
to the Galapagos, South East Asia, or to just about any other
world class dive destination and experience the best diving they
have to offer, not just the shallow, tourist reefs.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Course consists
of 5 specialty Adventure Dives and their associated Theory & Knowledge
and quizzes, as described in the Adventures in Diving Manual.
Deep Diving and Navigation Diving are two
required specialties. You choose the other three Adventure Dives
from a menu of options, we set the dive plans together and when
the prep work is finished, it’s off to the ocean.
